Game Review Venice Mystery

Venice Mystery from Gamgo Games

What a delightfully diverting game this is!

The fate of the city of Venice is in your hands! Basically, you try to keep Venice from sinking by puzzling and mystery-solving your way throughout the lovely city. On your journey, you will encounter 13 paintings that collectively hide a lost secret. By uncovering the paintings in time and discovering a special ancient Doomsday machine, you can prevent Venice from sinking. A whopping 70 magic puzzles are included in the game, along with great secret passages, special power-ups, and more. Impressive game graphics include ancient maps and scrolls, old paintings, a cool clock tower, etc.

This is a hidden object game that incorporates quite a bit of Mahjong play within it. For the Mahjong portion of the game, the tile surface designs are quite appealing for your viewing pleasure J. If you like Mahjong and would be especially happy to play Mahjong with some new twists, then you will love this game.

You start out by being told that some of the ancient secrets of Iluminus have been lost – it is up to you to find them. Iluminus is an ancient scientist who created a secret Doomsday machine several hundred years ago. The machine is the only thing that can stop Venice from flooding and sinking. Thirteen secret paintings in Venice hide the secret of the machine. You must play the game to find the lost paintings and solve the Venice Mystery.

A Mahjong-type levels are the first order of play in this game. There are a number of hidden keys within the tiles that must be uncovered. Power-up tiles, Joker tiles, and lots of other special tiles are also hidden and can be uncovered throughout play. Once you uncover all the hidden keys on a playfield, then that round is over. Your score is calculated, and you’re taken to the next round. As I mentioned earlier, Mahjong is the main play throughout the game. This game is a Mahjong lover’s paradise! But instead of just a simple Mahjong game, this game has great extras that make it so much more interesting. You get to solve clock tower puzzles, puzzles of old paintings, and more. I enjoyed this game immensely - lots of fun and worth the time.
