Big Fish Games Scales New Heights with Hidden Expedition: Everest

Participation by World-Renowned High-Altitude Mountaineer Ed Viesturs Demonstrates Expanding Appeal of Casual Games

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Big Fish Games
(TM) (www.bigfishgames.com), a leading developer and distributor of casual games, today announced the launch of Hidden Expedition: Everest,, the sequel to Hidden Expedition: Titanic, one of the most popular casual games of 2006. Following the record-breaking success of Hidden Expedition: Titanic and Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, Hidden Expedition Everest
is a hidden object game that takes players on a race around the world in an effort to ultimately ascend Mount Everest

Big Fish Games has partnered with Ed Viesturs, world-renowned high-altitude mountaineer, to complement the fun and original game with rich multimedia presenting the real world of high-altitude climbing. As users progress through the game, they will reach milestones that unlock access to Ed's personal collection of photographs and videos taken during his multiple ascents of Mount Everest and other high-altitude peaks.

"Big Fish Games is proud to once again introduce new experiences to casual gamers -- this time by partnering with the word's premiere high-altitude climber," said Paul Thelen, CEO, Big Fish Games. "This game combines whimsical fun and challenging game play with an engaging, real-world multimedia experience. I believe this game will expand the casual games industry by attracting new people who have not yet experienced the fun and excitement found in casual games."

Race Around The World

With a caricature of Viesturs as the guide, Hidden Expedition: Everest
takes players through 40 different robust environments where they find hidden objects and solve mysteries. Players race against other teams of characters and explore scenic areas across the globe in an effort to be the first to summit Mount Everest. Integrated within the game is a collection of Viesturs' breathtaking real-life video, still photography taken during past climbs, and new original voice narrations describing his experiences summiting Mount Everest and other perilous mountain peaks.

Hidden Expedition: Everest is the second episode in the Hidden Expedition series from Big Fish Games following Hidden Expedition: Titanic, which was released in August 2006. These casual games provide players with unique opportunities to challenge their puzzle solving skills in world famous locations around the world. In Hidden Expedition: Everest, players race across the world from beautiful locations in South American jungles to mysterious island chains and finally to the face of Mount Everest itself. With help from world-renowned climber Ed Viesturs, players will discover hidden tunnels and other clues that will ultimately lead them to the top of the mountain. Viesturs is a natural fit with the theme of the game, as he is the only American climber to ascend the 14 tallest mountains in the world without the help of supplemental oxygen -- including six trips to the top of Mount Everest.

"I'm very pleased to be a part of this newest effort from Big Fish Games," said Ed Viesturs, high-altitude climber and adventurer. "It is rewarding to be able to share the experiences I've had throughout my years of climbing and provide an opportunity for fans of Big Fish Games to experience some of the exhilaration and challenges of an actual Everest expedition."

Hidden Expedition: Everest is available immediately at www.bigfishgames.com. The trial version can be downloaded for free; the unlimited version is available for $19.95 (U.S.).
